Most hotels near Miami International Airport sit in a ring around the runways, and which side of that ring you pick changes your night more than the brand does. Miami Springs, on the north side across NW 36th Street, has the budget hotels, most of them with breakfast included. The LeJeune Road side to the east has the big full-service Marriott campus. Blue Lagoon, south of the Dolphin Expressway, has the newer Hilton-family hotels around a lake. One hotel sits inside the terminal itself.
For an airport night, what you’re really choosing is how you’ll get to the counter in the morning: a shuttle with set hours, a walk from inside the terminal, or a short ride. So I compared these by shuttle hours, breakfast and parking from each hotel’s official site, then checked MIA’s own pages for shuttle pickup, the MIA Mover and airport parking, all in October 2026.
The closest hotel to Miami International Airport is Miami International Airport Hotel, inside the terminal in Concourse E on the 2nd level, near the ticket counters, with day-use rooms from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Every other hotel here runs a complimentary MIA shuttle, and the hours are what separate them: Clarion Inn & Suites runs hourly from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon from 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Hampton Inn Miami Airport East from 6 a.m. to midnight, Comfort Suites Miami Airport North from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sleep Inn Miami Airport only until 9:30 p.m. Free hot breakfast is included at Hampton Inn Miami Airport East, Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon and Comfort Suites Miami Airport North, and Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami International Airport serves free made-to-order breakfast. Sleep Inn Miami Airport also includes free continental breakfast. None of these hotels lists free general parking; the lowest listed rates are $12 a night at Comfort Suites Miami Airport North (plus a $2 nightly safe fee) and $12 a day at Clarion Inn & Suites (plus a $3.50 nightly room fee), then $18 a day at Hampton Inn Miami Airport East and the DoubleTree. MIA says hotel shuttles pick up on Arrivals Level 1 at designated curbside doors, but follow your own hotel’s pickup instructions.

Shuttle hours, breakfast and parking from each hotel’s official site, checked October 17, 2026. Where a hotel lists a shuttle without hours, I’ve left the hours out rather than guess. Airport parking rates from MIA’s official parking page, same date. Room and parking rates can change, so confirm the total for your dates, including taxes and mandatory fees. Shuttle schedules can change on holidays, so confirm before a very early or very late flight.

Inside the terminal: Miami International Airport Hotel
Miami International Airport Hotel is the only hotel I’d call walking distance in the literal sense. It’s inside the terminal in Concourse E on the 2nd level, the Departures level, and the hotel says it’s in the departures area with direct access to the ticketing counters. That’s before security, so it works for a very early flight or a missed connection where you’d otherwise spend the night in a chair. On a connection you’ll leave the secure area to reach it, after clearing immigration and customs if you arrived on an international flight, and go back through security the next morning. Rooms are soundproofed with blackout curtains, the hotel is pet-friendly, and it takes a $100 security deposit at check-in.
Its day-use rooms, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. based on availability, are the reason I’d keep this hotel in mind even if you aren’t staying overnight. On a long layover, a shower and a few hours in a real bed beat any lounge. The trade-off is everything outside the room: you’re in an airport, so dinner is whatever’s in the terminal, and if you’re driving you’ll be paying airport garage rates rather than a hotel lot.
The east side: LeJeune Road
LeJeune Road, also known as NW 42nd Avenue, runs along the airport’s east edge and has several full-service options, including the Marriott and Embassy Suites, alongside Hampton Inn Miami Airport East. Drive times into downtown vary with traffic. Most of the dining here is inside the hotels, including the Marriott’s restaurants and the Embassy Suites evening reception.
Miami Airport Marriott
Miami Airport Marriott is at 1201 NW Le Jeune Road, on a campus it shares with the Courtyard and Residence Inn Miami Airport. Marriott lists a complimentary airport shuttle, three on-site restaurants including Cane Fire Grille, and a Starbucks counter for an early coffee. Self-parking is $28 a day and valet is $32, which the hotel says includes tax. I’d choose it for a business night or a group trip where a full-service bar and restaurant matter more than a free breakfast, since breakfast isn’t included.
Hampton Inn Miami Airport East
At 3449 NW 42nd Avenue, Hampton Inn Miami Airport East has the most practical combination on this side: free hot breakfast, a complimentary MIA shuttle from 6 a.m. to midnight, and self-parking at $18 a day. For an early departure, confirm the first shuttle time with the front desk, because a 6 a.m. start can be too late for a flight that leaves soon after.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami International Airport
Embassy Suites is at 3974 NW South River Drive, along the Miami River near the northeast corner of the airport. It’s the one I’d pick for a family: every room is a suite, breakfast is free and made to order, there’s a complimentary evening reception, and Hilton lists the airport shuttle as running every 30 minutes. Self-parking is $30 a day.
The north side: Miami Springs
Miami Springs is a small residential city across NW 36th Street from the airport, and its hotels are the budget end of the airport market. Most of them include breakfast, though Clarion no longer does, and expect smaller properties with more rules at check-in. Several require a credit card in the guest’s name, and some ask for a deposit, so read the policies before you book.
Comfort Suites Miami Airport North
Comfort Suites Miami Airport North, at 657 Minola Drive, lists free hot breakfast, a complimentary airport shuttle from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and extended parking at $12 a night, plus a $2 nightly in-room safe fee on every reservation. For the pickup, the hotel tells arriving guests to exit on the ground level at Door 7 or Door 15 and call for the shuttle. It’s also one of the few airport hotels that lists a free one-way morning shuttle to the Port of Miami, which is why cruise passengers end up here. I covered that side of it in hotels near the Miami cruise port.
Sleep Inn Miami Airport
Sleep Inn Miami Airport, at 105 Fairway Drive, includes free continental breakfast, and its airport shuttle runs every 45 minutes from 6 a.m. until the last departure at 9:30 p.m. That last time is the catch: if your flight lands late, you’ll need a rideshare or taxi, and the hotel says it doesn’t pay for them. I’d book it only when you’re arriving in the afternoon or early evening.
Clarion Inn & Suites Miami International Airport
The Clarion, at 5301 NW 36th Street, has the longest shuttle hours in this guide, hourly from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. But its Choice Hotels page says it no longer provides free breakfast, parking is $12 a day, and a $3.50 per room, per night fee covers transportation, security and the in-room safe. It’s the one to look at when a very late arrival or a 5 a.m. shuttle matters more than breakfast.
The south side: Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon is an office and hotel district along a lake, south of the Dolphin Expressway, SR 836. It’s a different setting from the LeJeune Road hotel corridor, with direct access to SR 836 toward downtown or west toward Doral. The trade-off is that you’re across the expressway from the terminal, so you depend on the shuttle schedule more than you would on the east side.
Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon
Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon, at 5101 Blue Lagoon Drive, runs a complimentary shuttle from 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., which covers early departures and most late arrivals. Only the Clarion runs later, until 1 a.m. Breakfast is available for a fee, and self-parking is $38 a day, the highest of the airport-ring hotels here. I’d book it when shuttle hours are the deciding factor.
Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon
At 777 NW 57th Avenue, this Hampton includes free hot breakfast and self-parking at $20 a day. Its shuttle runs once an hour from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., so I’d plan around the hourly departure rather than expect a van when you walk out of baggage claim.
Southwest: by the convention center
DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center is at 711 NW 72nd Avenue, farther west than the rest, next to the Miami Airport Convention Center. It makes sense mainly if your trip is built around an event there. Hilton lists a complimentary airport shuttle, breakfast for a fee, self-parking at $18 a day and valet at $20.
How the airport shuttles work
Miami International Airport says hotel shuttles pick up and drop off on the Arrivals level, Level 1, at designated curbside zones at Doors 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 15, 20, 23, 24 and 28. Each hotel uses its own zone, so check your hotel’s instructions before you land. Comfort Suites Miami Airport North, for example, sends guests to Door 7 or Door 15 and asks them to call. The sources don’t all agree, though: Clarion Inn & Suites’ own page tells arriving guests to go to the second level, Departure Doors 5 through 25, which differs from MIA’s general guidance that hotel shuttles use Arrivals Level 1. If your hotel’s directions differ from MIA’s, call the hotel before you land and confirm the level and door. On the way out, I’d catch the shuttle at least one departure earlier than you think you need, because the morning vans fill up with other guests.
If you’d rather not wait for a van, the free MIA Mover station is on the 3rd level, between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages. It connects the airport to the Rental Car Center and the Miami Intermodal Center, where you can connect to Metrorail and Tri-Rail. That’s useful when you’re picking up a car the morning after an airport night, or riding the train downtown.
Which side fits your trip
- Inside the terminal: Strongest for very early flights, missed connections and day-use rest. Less convenient for dinner options and parking costs.
- East side (LeJeune Road): Strongest for full-service hotels and families who want Embassy Suites’ included breakfast and evening reception. Less convenient if you want cheap parking at the Marriott.
- North side (Miami Springs): Strongest for included breakfast and the lowest parking rates. Less convenient for late arrivals at Sleep Inn and for anything to do at night.
- South side (Blue Lagoon): Strongest for long shuttle hours at the Hilton and a lakeside office-district setting. Less convenient if you want to walk anywhere, since you’re across SR 836 from the terminal.
